Established in 2002, Batesville Swimming is relatively new to the IHSAA and EIAC.
2002-2008
SUCCESS FROM THE START
The BHS Swim Team was started by T.J. Greene. In the first 6 years of the program, we saw some strong performances right out of the gate. In the inaugural season, Jason Flodder and Ashley Schuerman were the team's first All-Conference winners. Flodder also competed at the State Meet in the 100 Fly after winning the Sectional at Richmond.
2009-2017
FIRST MULTI-TIME STATE QUALIFIER
In the 2009-10 season, Batesville saw it's first multi-time state finalist in Bryce Timonera. He took 4 straight EIAC MVPs while finishing as high as second place at the IHSAA State Finals. BHS saw multiple sectional champions and state qualifiers during this time period.
2018-NOW
NEW COACH,
SAME GOALS
In 2018, Greg McMullen took over as the second head coach in team history. While the staff may have changed, the goals haven't. Since 2018, the team has grown in size and is showing promise moving into the future.
